Kansai Welfare University and Buddhist University have signed an agreement on completing a special school teacher qualification training course. Under the agreement, students of the Department of Child Education, Faculty of Education, Kansai Welfare University can obtain the first-class special education school teacher qualification by taking a special course of the correspondence education course of the Faculty of Education, Buddhist University
Kansai Welfare University will open the Education Welfare Major in the Department of Child Education, Faculty of Education in April. As society changes, educational needs are becoming more diverse, and the importance of not only the traditional “guidance” but also “support” that accompanies and supports everyone’s growth and development is increasing. This major aims to train elementary school teachers who have rich knowledge and can guide and support according to each person’s educational needs, bullying and absenteeism, and build relationships through practical learning based on school psychology research and cooperation with welfare and related organizations.
In order to obtain a special education school teacher qualification, students can obtain credits that cannot be obtained through this school course alone through the correspondence course of Buddhist University, and obtain a special education school teacher qualification after graduating from this school. This will apply to students who enter in 2025 and later.
